Missions and Functions

Network Administration

• It is responsible for planning, designing, and managing Data Networks and configuring and setting up equipment such as Switches, Routers, Access Points, among others.

• Defines VLANs and Wlans and IP addressing (LAN).

• Enables and manages IP addresses (within the Provincial Data Network) for navigation and access to various specific systems.

• Creates and manages Routed VPNs (OpenVPN) for different organizations such as Gendarmerie, Federal Police, Multi-Agency Platform, as well as for specific users within our ministry.

• Handles repair claims and follows up on equipment sent for warranty service due to technical issues.

• Provides technical telephone support to various users.

Installation of Networks and Electrical Maintenance

• Performs installations, repairs, and relocations of network stations, as well as takes care of the electrical wiring for each of them.

• Installation of Racks, Switches, Routers, Access Points.

• Configuration of PCs and Printers connected to the Network.

• Provides personal and telephone technical support to local, decentralized, and provincial users.

• Maintenance in the Data Center (UPS, electrical installation, and equipment air conditioning cleaning control).

• Assists in the installation of new batteries and the start-up of Data Center UPS.

• Electrical maintenance of the General Directorate building.
