What is QRishing?

QRishing is a phishing technique that uses QR codes to deceive potential victims. By scanning a malicious QR code, attackers can steal confidential information, compel us to visit a website, or even install malware on our phone.

 

How does it work?

Attackers place malicious QR codes in locations where people are likely to scan them, such as on posters, brochures, or advertisements. When someone scans the code, they are redirected to a fake website that mimics that of a legitimate company or organization.
