Missions and Functions

    1. Acquisition and Renewal of Computer Resources: Plan and oversee computer resource acquisition and renewal within the Ministry of Security's scope. Coordinate actions, guidelines, and criteria with the provincial authority responsible and adhere to regulations.

    2. Information Resource Policies: Propose, design, standardize, coordinate, and control information resource policies across Ministry of Security departments, areas, and sectors. Align with guidelines from competent authorities, organizations, and involved agencies.

    3. Technological Standards: Define and monitor technological standards within the organization.

    4. Information Security: Strengthen the security of highly critical and sensitive information in data records managed by the organization through information security policies.

    5. Quality Improvement: Establish organizational and technological guidelines and mechanisms to enhance the quality of electronically circulated information.

    6. Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance for information resources and specific projects within the Ministry.

    7. Feasibility Evaluation: Evaluate the technical, economic, and operational feasibility of information system design projects related to the organization.

    8. User Support: Offer technical and operational support to optimize computer system utilization within the Ministry.

    9. Standardization and Alignment: Implement policies for standardization and alignment among functional units within the Ministry, its agencies, and related areas.


    10. Procedures and Security: Develop and propose procedures for the use and maintenance of information resources, emphasizing information security and privacy.

    11. Quality Systems: Handle, coordinate, and establish schemes for implementing and managing quality systems within the Ministry.
