Missions and Functions

• 1. Project Involvement: Participate in Information Systems projects required by departments within the Ministry of Security.


• 2. System Design and Implementation: Organize and execute actions necessary for the design, development, and implementation of required information systems.


• 3. Feasibility Analysis: Conduct technical-operational feasibility analysis for system projects, including planning and monitoring.


• 4. Quality Control: Ensure compliance with established quality policies affecting software production processes.


• 5. Security Management: Establish methods and guidelines to control security levels in application systems.


• 6. Maintenance and Efficiency: Oversee the maintenance of data processing systems, following established methodologies and ensuring security and efficiency.


• 7. System Reengineering: Develop and execute plans for the reengineering of existing information systems and applications.


• 8. Documentation Management: Create and maintain up-to-date documentation supporting systems throughout their lifecycle.


• 9. Research and Technology Transfer: Participate in research, meetings, and technology dissemination activities within their field.


• 10. Coordination and Training: Coordinate operational and technical activities with various areas of the Directorate and provide technological training.


• 11. Data Processing: Process data for systems as needed due to complexity or Directorate instructions.


• 12. Quality Assurance and Audits: Conduct quality controls on input and output data, user audits, and respond to judicial or administrative requests regarding data content.


• 13. System Transition: Plan, coordinate, and execute system transitions in collaboration with the user support department.


• 14. Reports and Technical Support: Generate reports and studies on data projections, provide specialized technical support as needed by the Directorate General of Informatics.


• 15. Collaboration with Other IT Units: Collaborate with IT units of other departments to standardize information in existing databases.
